Reviews and Ratings
I've just returned from my stay at this hotel. Let me sum it up for you. The rooms could use some serious maintenance; one of the garden rooms was out of order and looked gloomy with paint desperately needed. However, the location is wonderful - by its own golf course and with tennis courts on the grounds. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. The dining experience, although noisy, offered good quality food. The facilities were adequate. Overall, a mix of highs and lows.
The hotel has a good location for visiting the Cotswolds with convenient car parking. The rooms, although a bit old-fashioned and cold due to inadequate heating, are average. The breakfast team are friendly and caring, but there were issues with lost tickets and lack of compensation. The dining experience offers nice food with an option for a terrace view, although missing certain breakfast options. The overall experience is a mix of warm comfort in a dated decor setting.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the bright side, the service was amazing, with friendly and helpful staff, but there were issues with the unavailability of certain items which were not handled well. The location offered pleasant country views, perfect for a relaxing stay, but there were loud renovation works going on nearby. The dining options were a hit and miss, with undercooked dishes but a good breakfast buffet, including a refund for one guest. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
